Network Rail
The Challenge
Produced and directed in-house for Network Rail, this drama-led electrical safety training film explores the real-world consequences of miscommunication during live railway works. Shot across three consecutive night shoots with a large cast and crew, the production required extensive logistical planning, including sourcing multiple test track locations across the UK and dressing them to convincingly represent live railway environments. Months of development were spent working closely with Network Rail specialists to ensure the script accurately reflected correct terminology, hierarchy and operational processes, while focusing on a single critical breakdown in communication. In post-production, two distinct versions of the film were created to address both AC (25,000V) and DC (750V) electrified infrastructure, with location choices driven by technical accuracy. The result is a precise, engaging training film rolled out nationwide to drive discussion and reinforce safety-first culture across the organisation.
